Pete S
Surely this was more than that back then?? Last I saw for sale was £500 (Nate Evans - Main Squeeze) It was, it was about £125 then but I'd never heard of it so just thought it was soul pack junk. Someone did ring me and tell me, but I let him have it for the cheap price anyway.. Edited December 20, 2012 by Pete S Link to comment Social source share

Will try and dig out some earlier ones from FL Moore if I get a chance. Colin Can't say I've heard the 'Same Kitty' track  Link to comment Social source share

paultp
Being young and nrw to collecting these records yhis thread is making me die a little inside. Just need to put it in perspective; when I joined the army in 1976, 5 quid was a third of a weeks wages. Buying a record for £20 was a major investment which is why I didn't If you were to take 2 weeks wages now and spend it on a record, that would be the rough equivalent of dropping £25 in 1974. We still had 10 bob notes then! 2 Link to comment Social source share

Quite true Paul but its the £1 ones that make me wince Got an old Rob Smith list with Parliaments - Heart Trouble at 50p They're the painful ones, not necessarily big rarities but ones you could have easily afforded at the time Link to comment Social source share
