macca
Paul, saw that photo booth shot of eddie din in the major lance collage. Living proof that the soul scene has always been multicultural! Some on here might find it bizarre that one of the very first people I witnessed do a backdrop was chinese, in the bull & dolphin or carousel 1973, I can't remember which now. Is he still about? Guest POTTERIESPECK
I stand to be corrected, but i thought it was in a boozer in colchester when the STOKE lads were on the way back from the IPSWICH v STOKE GAME. Link to comment Social source share
Pauldonnelly
Skip will tell ya, since the reunion was announced the Peterborough contingent have been on various excursions in an attempt to lose some pounds and look as fit as we can come Oct 24th. Some have kept a video diary, watch out for Skip disembarking from the Torch bus at about 34secs, and look out for the day me and my Mrs went to play Golf and Peterborough Golf Club and look out for Poke at Barnack Hills and Hollows where he'd thought it would be fun to run down a hill and 'nut' the road. enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hSVAO3yFZE...feature=related Edited June 7, 2009 by PaulDonnelly Link to comment Social source share

Guest
well, if PD's saturday night spot (lincoln) was anything to go by........ bring on the reunion !!! some absolute classic, quality sounds. can't wait Ever since we announced The Torch Reunion , Donnelly has prepared for it , by including notable Hose Street anthems in the spots he does ( such as last Saturday night in Lincoln ) , and gauges how well these tunes will go down , by trying them out on his next door neighbour , Mrs Betty Swallocks ........ This was her reaction when Paul played her Mamie Galore's " It Ain't Necessary " ........ Malc Burton Link to comment Social source share

Guest
came across this advert PAUL FOR THE LEASE ON THE TORCH Three of us put in a bid for the lease , but it was below the asking : despite discussion , no agreement could be reached . If we had got it , god knows what we would have done with it , as we knew we could not run it as a dance hall because of the SOT council and police : but one thing is for certain - we would not have turned it into a camping store with a stock of faulty paraffin lamps .......
