hey up mate

It can still be a blast from the past matey. i've tried me best get some of the 'old guard' to get to this--but its been dead hard trackin folks down and that.Managed to get Daley from Congleton to go. Just hope some have managed get tickets another route. Yeah it is a shame that coddy aint with us no more--he wudda loved it--crackin bloke he was.Went a few times with Coddy,Fido(from Congleton) and Big lewie from Macc. There's a few mate that are sadly no longer with us that would have had a right gud 'un here.

great gesture over the donation Pat

Paul, saw that photo booth shot of eddie din in the major lance collage.

Living proof that the soul scene has always been multicultural!

Some on here might find it bizarre that one of the very first people I witnessed do a backdrop was chinese,

in the bull & dolphin or carousel 1973, I can't remember which now.

Is he still about?

I stand to be corrected, but i thought it was in a boozer in colchester when the STOKE lads were on the way back from the IPSWICH v STOKE GAME.

Skip will tell ya, since the reunion was announced the Peterborough contingent have been on various excursions in an attempt to lose some pounds and look as fit as we can come Oct 24th.

Some have kept a video diary, watch out for Skip disembarking from the Torch bus at about 34secs, and look out for the day me and my Mrs went to play Golf and Peterborough Golf Club and look out for Poke at Barnack Hills and Hollows where he'd thought it would be fun to run down a hill and 'nut' the road.

enjoy

well, if PD's saturday night spot (lincoln) was anything to go by........ bring on the reunion !!! some absolute classic, quality sounds. can't wait thumbsup.gif:lol::lol:

Ever since we announced The Torch Reunion , Donnelly has prepared for it , by including notable Hose Street anthems in the spots he does ( such as last Saturday night in Lincoln ) , and gauges how well these tunes will go down , by trying them out on his next door neighbour , Mrs Betty Swallocks ........

This was her reaction when Paul played her Mamie Galore's " It Ain't Necessary " ........

came across this advert PAUL FOR THE LEASE ON THE TORCH

Three of us put in a bid for the lease , but it was below the asking : despite discussion , no agreement could be reached .

If we had got it , god knows what we would have done with it , as we knew we could not run it as a dance hall because of the SOT council and police : but one thing is for certain - we would not have turned it into a camping store with a stock of faulty paraffin lamps .......
