Eyup Folks, I’d like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! Being almost halfway through January now (and getting used to waking up without a fuzzy head) I wanted to take the time to announce our next session at the Old Kings Head, with a bit more added context. Whilst I’m always pleased to be preparing for our next session at the OKH, I’m most happy to announce that the upcoming session will be a completely non profit event, with all proceeds going solely to The Stroke Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital.
Throughout our lives, there is an extremely likely chance that someone we know will be affected by this condition- and whether distant or dear to us, the effects passed on to those individuals, along with their families, friends, and acquaintances that have to deal with it can be absolutely devastating. We are extremely lucky to be able to have trained nurses, doctors and staff who will try their best to assist and promote a speedy and healthy recovery from this terrible condition. With this in mind, our club would like to do our bit - and warmly invite you all to our first session of the year, knowing that every penny given will be donated directly to the aforementioned units associated charity.
From 14:00-20:00 with a great selection of DJs, alongside record dealers selling original vinyl as per our usual format, we will also be holding a raffle to try and raise more money on the day of the event. We are welcoming donations of all kinds, be it records, drinks, books, or any other niceties- so if you would like to donate something to our raffle (and feel in a position to do so) then please send me a PM via Messenger. Tickets will be able to be purchased at the event. Any monetary donations on the day will also be greatly appreciated, but please feel no pressure to do so at all .

I hope that we will see as many of you there as we can, all to raise money for an extremely important cause, with all the soulful stuff on a Sunday afternoon one could possibly hope for. Please spread the word and share, and hopefully we will see you in February.
Cheers,
Jack
