Firstly, a HUGE thanks from all of us at Banbury Soul Club to those who attended our last event, the 21st Anniversary.
Quite simply without you, the attendees, we would not have a Club.
Our first event of 2025 will be on Saturday 19thApril, 7.30pm to midnight.
For those that haven’t been before please make sure you come along and enjoy a superb soulful night’s entertainment.
We have Kev Palmer as our guest DJ in April.
He is a resident of MK Soul Club and co runs Olney. Kev has some great tunes and he always supports Banbury Soul Club at our events. Please give him a warm welcome.
Still only £5 on the door.
Anyway, onto the night itself.
Those who have attended previously know the format for the evening.
As always, the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment.
Charlie, Steve, Tom and Dave the resident DJ’s will be playing their own selections of danceable soul music to guarantee a brilliant night.
Expect to hear sounds from the last 50 years covering all genres, tempos and styles.
In summary this will genuinely be a “something for everyone” evening.
Anyway, we all hope to see you all on Saturday 19th April, 7.30pm to midnight.
For those who have not been to the venue before the Banbury United Clubhouse has recently been refurbished, new decorations and a brand new dance floor, along with the free car park immediately outside the clubhouse.
With a raised stage, main wooden dancefloor and with seating and tables on both sides.
Another plus is its all on ground floor level with no stairs to contend with.
Hopefully this will give you an idea of the layout and how it’s ideally suited for a night of soul music.
For people with mobility issues the Club has disabled toilet facilities.
Some people are still having difficulties finding The Banbury United Clubhouse location.
Unfortunately, Satnavs will only get you part of the way.
The only access to the club is by way of the Station Approach Road.
After turning into Station Approach the main railway station, train drop off point and taxi rank is immediately on the left.
You need to take the narrow roadway on the extreme right to find the Clubhouse and follow this road all the way to the ground.
The clubhouse is approx. 0.5 miles down this road.
Turn right into the Clubhouse car park which is well lit.
If you do get lost the taxi drivers are usually very helpful and will point you in the right direction.
Pay on the door is still only £5.00.
For all Satnav users the full address as below.
