Geronimo 53 Posted March 6 Salts soul collectives next event. The event is going from strength to strength and the music played is absolutely subliminal. Well established reputable resident and guest dj's. Between them, owning some of the best vinyl collections in Britain, having taken many years to search and track down some of the finest original sounds from our wonderful scene. Including some incredibly rare finds. This is reflected and represented in the music played. Fantastic venue, brilliant sound system, well stocked efficient bar and secure plentiful parking. Its going to be a real cracker Hope you can join us. Any problems, questions or concerns, please don't hesitate in messaging me. 1
Geronimo 53 Posted March 9 Sadly our good friend Robbie England is unable to make our next night. (Friday,4th April) Absolutely flattered that a much respected and admired, very knowledgeable local lad, with an absolutely tremendous record collection has agreed to honour us all with a set. It's rare you see this gent behind the Decs,so rest assured, you are in for a big treat. Polish those dancing shoes and get those ears syringed in preparation for David Guiry It's going to be a cracker of a night. 1
Agentsmith 1,122 Posted Wednesday at 18:49 (edited) This is a top class function, been several times now and it certainly dosn't disappoint. It's taken a long time for west yorks ( in particular ) to throw off the shackles of tradition....far too many functions plying the same merry-go-round of universally accepted oldies and sterotyped that if it clears the floor it dosn't cut it. It's a sterile attitude i feel, personally. There is a distinct reminder here of current venues, Ashton Uky and CVH ( Culcheth Village Hall ) and befire that, Lowton Civic, Prestwich TSOP, and from my neck of the woods, The Lea Manor Hotel, Albrighton, Shropshire.....all the venues followed the TOTW ethic and trademark....Salt collective aspires to follow the same path, and rightly so.
