Soul On The Sea – The Final Chapter on our 18th Anniversary!
& Raising funds and awareness for UK HOMES FOR HEROES.
After 18 incredible years of music, memories, and magic, Soul On The Sea is set to take its final bow. What began as a late-night idea—helped along by a bottle of dark rum—has become one of the most iconic events on the Bournemouth and Poole music scene.
From the very first night, we set out to create something special, and with 90+ events on Bournemouth seafront, we’ve done just that. We’ve celebrated Northern Soul and its splinter genres, adding a second room of Ska and Reggae between 2008 and 2018 that kept the energy alive—when one room dipped, the other lifted it right back up!
We’ve hosted live bands in KeyWest and Jumpin Jaks, packed out a day-long ska festival in the Pier Theatre (The 2 Tone Taster), and welcomed thousands of people through our doors. Along the way, we’ve made countless friends, watched relationships bloom, and built a legacy of fun, passion, and unforgettable moments.
Spinning our final tunes Steve Lyons who audibly and organisationally made Soul On The Sea what it is will be joined by Ian Hall, Roy St Clair, and Tony “The Hat” Patchett.
This last dance is not just an event—it’s a celebration of everything we’ve achieved together. So come and join us one last time for an unforgettable night of Soul and, most importantly, memories.
Let’s make this final chapter the best one yet—Soul On The Sea lives on in every beat, every step, and every soul it’s touched.
