Soul At The Ritzy September Serious Party

Our next party is Thursday 12th September and what a night it promises to be.  Basically, it's gonna be BIG FUN.  We have two larger than life characters as our special guests. 

First, Lewisham Heart of Soul resident and bearded wonder NATHAN PICKARD will be bringing his northern collection (and sense of humour) to the floor - expect big tunes, no days off etc

And secondly we have South London mod/soul hero, the legend that is TONY SCHOKMAN!  Possibly the sharpest dressed DJ to ever grace our decks, expect the full mod soul experience.  Classy, but PARTY, PARTY, PARTY.

We're excited to see how these two bounce off eachother.  It's going to be another classic Ritzy soul soundclash.

The event is free, as ever.  Starts at 7,30pm, but the bar will be open from 7pm for sociable types.  See you there!

SOUL AT THE RITZY is a monthly, sociable fun loving across-the-board soul night held in a brilliant venue – the club room at the top of the iconic Ritzy cinema in Brixton, London, just minutes from the tube station.

Music policy is 60s/70s soul, OVO of course.  It is neither a trainspotter's party or an oldies night. 

Your hosts JAKE LINGWOOD, DONNA DRISCOLL and LISA HURLEY make sure each night packs a punch – and we bring you brilliant guests each month, as well as playing ourselves.

The sound system is top notch, and the venue has another ace up its sleeve – a large balcony overlooking Brixton’s Windrush Square.  It’s a brilliant venue and we’re thrilled/very lucky to have it.

We're now in our third fantastic year, and we’re really excited to have booked up a whole calendar of events for 2024.  (See attached flier)

Regular Thursday nights run from 7.30pm (bar is open from 7pm) until midnight and are FREE.  And this year we're really excited to have four Saturday night specials which will run 8pm-2am and will be ticketed.
