It's going to be a big night at the Ritzy as we have two class guest DJs. The life, soul and legend ALAN HANDSCOMBE, and Stephen Bunne aka BUNNY. You all know Alan, but what you might not know is that this is his first proper time playing at the Ritzy. He did one early set a couple of years ago, but this is a proper party soul set aimed right at the dancers. And Bunny is the guy behind BDQ records and ex of Mother Earth (Acid Jazz) and he is, also, bringing us a full soul party set for the night.
We are predicting packed dancefloor, especially as it's still too cold for the balcony to get full usage
See you on the 8th.

SOUL AT THE RITZY is a monthly, sociable fun loving across-the-board soul night held in a brilliant venue – the club room at the top of the iconic Ritzy cinema in Brixton, London, just minutes from the tube station.
Music policy is 60s/70s soul, OVO of course. It is neither a trainspotter's party or an oldies night.
Your hosts JAKE LINGWOOD, DONNA DRISCOLL, LISA HURLEY and DOUGIE LING make sure each night packs a punch – and we bring you brilliant guests each month, as well as playing ourselves.
The sound system is top notch, and the venue has another ace up its sleeve – a large balcony overlooking Brixton’s Windrush Square. It’s a brilliant venue and we’re thrilled/very lucky to have it.
We're now in our third fantastic year, and we’re really excited to have booked up a whole calendar of events for 2024. (See attached flier)
Regular Thursday nights run from 7pm until midnight and are FREE. And this year we're really excited to have four Saturday night specials which will run 8pm-2am and will be ticketed.
To keep up to date with all the shenanigans and going on, please join the SOUL AT THE RITZY FACEBOOK GROUP or you can follow our Instagram here.
We'll announce the guest DJs monthly. So watch this space.
