The weather may not be great but be assured the music will be HOT!

Two rooms of ‘sizzling’ tuneage is guaranteed for the next night at CULCHETH on SATURDAY 3rd AUGUST, when rare, underplayed and down-right great, 60’s and 70’s is served by our resident DJ’s KEV MURPHY, SIMON INGHAM and BAZ MALEEDY, along with SPECIAL GUEST GINGER TAYLOR in the main room and the best in modern soul from the last four decades is the word from DJ’s STEVE PLUMB, CHARLIE SMITH, NICK McKINNON, BILL WILDMAN and PETE RATCLIFFE in the modern room!

CULCHETH, as was LOWTON, a tale of two rooms and while the main room is dedicted to rare and underplayed, the second room is most definitely, the 'Do within a Do' bringing you all things 'Modern' The brand new releases from Pete Ratcliffe, soulful 70's and more from Steve Plumb, 80's album trackin' from Bill Wildman and a great mix of boogie 12's thru to rare dancers from Nick McKinnon, all topped off with the rarest of the rare dusties from Charlie Smith!

Make It a Date...

Baz, after the sad passing of Abdul Duke Fakir this week, the last original member of the Four Tops, I'm sure their music will be remembered on the 3rd of August.

One of my all time favourites is this one.

I wonder if Simon'll have this beauty with him.

Whilst on the subject of European/Non UK single releases like The Four Tops French only release.

Edwin Starr had a German only release that I first heard Simon play at Culcheth a few years ago, it sounded so brilliant I just wanted to cry.👍😂

It comes around so quickly and then not quickly enough!! The August installment of Culcheth is gonna be HOT in so many ways - I'm looking forwards to standing in the shadows of a fantastic DJ line up ............ digging around in the box as we speak!!

I hope you can make it and Have Your Fun this Saturday

I'm always looking to put together tracks that match to my ears - here's an example of a fave spin and a new to my box example where I think that works (my opinion of course )
