Looking forward to a rare foray into the modern room.  With so many seasoned “Modern” veterans in attendance I’ll be a wee bit nervous hoping I can meet their high standards 😬😃

I read somewhere Andy Dyson had this covered up as Cleveland Robinson many years ago.

I know Simon recently picked up a copy, so there's a chance of it getting a spin this Saturday

Andy's rare soul radar went as far as Barbados for this one.

IT'S OFFICIAL!...

Scientists at the University of Exeter have published a report that music “should be considered as a part of a lifestyle approach to maintain the brain!” So, with that in mind (no pun intended 😉) join us on SATURDAY FEB 3rd as we help ‘Maintain Your Brain’ with a night of quality Rare and Modern Soul as we celebrate memories of LOWTON CIVIC HALL at CULCHETH…

Feelin’ good, now officially, doin’ you good… See You Soon 😉👍

I'm sure I've seen this beauty on a Chalky playlist in the past. A regular spin on the soul radio shows back in the day, Richard Searling featured it on a regular basis.

A soulful masterpiece to my ears. See what other high quality tunes Chalky has in his locker this Saturday.

I've just noticed this is a picture of the CD and not the original vinyl copy. Schoolboy error on my part but the track speaks for it's self.

Exciting weekend coming up - Lowton was such an amazing event back in the 90s and it's hard to believe now that a Friday night soul event could have been such a smash with massive attendance, I'm not sure what the average numbers were but Kev could fill us in I'm sure (note to self to ask him this weekend!)

It was an honour to DJ for the Lowton team right through til the end and I'm flipping through the playbox to remind myself of the fantastic choons that hit the decks (yes my box was rather influenced by Lowton)

Here's one:

Robbo always loved playing it at Lowton, I wonder if the big lad will give this a spin on Saturday or even t'other side.

Lotsa great feedback coming through for Saturday, looks like there's a few birthday celebrations, so best be early to get your seats, not that you'll be in them for long with the DJ's enticing peeps to the floor, with tunes like this...

I recall this absolutely ramming the floor at Lowton as it did everywhere back in the day - of course it suffered from over-exposure as many great tracks do!!  but perhaps a revival on Saturday would be welcomed
