In response to popular demand the rare room will now be open right through the night from 19:00 until 03:00

A note from Shaun Gibbons:

Pete Hailes and I were out and about over the last three weekends with those flyers again! A big thanks to all the clubs and promoters for letting us flyer their great nights. Speaking to everyone at the clubs about the Morecambe Reunion, they had nothing but praise for a brilliant night, and even the people who unfortunately couldn’t make it had heard, it was packed in both rooms all night. They have since seen the film footage on Facebook and social media and are all coming to the next one.

So judging by the reaction, it looks like it’s going to be another packer event at the Alhambra Morecambe on Saturday 19th of August 7:00 PM till 3:00 AM.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances,  Phil Threfall won't be behind the decks at the next Alhambra, but Phil Dick has kindly offered to step in for the next Morecambe Oldies Revival. Two fantastic rooms of soul once again, we're looking forward to seeing you all Saturday 19th August  7pm till 3am.

Shaun has been digging around in the memorabilia box and discovered this list of records that were played by all the DJs from Morecambe central pier and other all-nighters that Soul Promotions was running back in 1985. An interesting glimpse into the great spins of the day I'm sure you'll all agree!

Been good getting around the North of England visiting clubs sometimes 6 or 7 in one night promoting this event with shaun. Just waiting on some great news from the venue to improve the night after listening and seeing teething problems but will be sorted by this event. Stop press...an update for you all in response to the valuable feedback following the Anniversary in April 

Thanks for all your fantastic comments and feedback about the last sellout Morecambe event, here's some news to bring everyone up to speed about the new and improved Alhambra:

The stage has been moved back nearly four metres (around 12ft in old money LOL) to reveal all of the original wooden dance floor, creating more area for seating around it and importantly providing more room for the dancers of course.

We'd like to extend a big thanks to all the staff at the Alhambra for working so hard to accommodate the change.

It's not long to go now! We're looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday the 19th August, doing your thing with the extra space

The room looks totally unrecognisable since the last time I was there a few years ago.

I keep looking at the pics trying to work out if it's the same venue.

It looks like a proper niter venue now, much better than before.

Well done Shaun and the team looks a lot better see you on the 19th august

'What a Difference a Stage Makes'... Now looking like an absolute dancers delight in both rooms, always was and always will be a GREAT venue for Soulies

In his set he told the audience that he wasn't the same guy who recorded "Help me" but he said I'll give it a go, the band had practiced it beforehand.

Al was helped by the audience and he was great.

So, back at the Alhambra, Morecambe for the second instalment of this superb ‘Soul Promotions’ event. No one has been working harder than Shaun to make sure this next event on August 19th is a tremendous success, and I for one, know it will be.

A great line up of original ‘Morecambe’ DJ’s together with a selection of well-known names and respected soul-spinners guarantee a great night out for anyone coming along.

It’s not often a new venue comes along that’s REALLY this GOOD, a proper real deal Northern night! So, come on peeps, Let’s Be Avvin Ya!

From moment 1 to the end it was banging first time around, it will be like that in both rooms  ,just like Morecambe was always !!   

The line up in both rooms is aimed at the ever grateful dancers !!!
