The people, the venue, the music…..all these factors combine to make the Sink Rhythm & Soul Club THE place to be on Sunday 19th February.

A basement venue like Heebie Jeebies seems to create a unique atmosphere for this type of event, we believe you can’t beat it.

If you haven’t been to the Sink yet you’re in for a treat, be prepared for a Sunday afternoon totally different than the norm, this is not just another Northern Soul oldies event.

See you there.

Garnet Mimms on a Wednesday night in Hanley for 7 shillings and sixpence? What a statement!!!
That amount in todays money would be 38p and an equivalent value of £30 today.

Only 2 weeks to go until the first Sink of 2023 down in the basement of Heebies. For those who are not aware it's 60 years since the first Sink session was held at 45 Hardman Street. Anyone interested to know what it was like to attend the Sink during the 60's should speak to Stan and or Dennis, both of whom were members and regular attendees back in the day.

Many thanks to Kev Richardson for agreeing to stand in for Dennis while he is away in Germany. Kevin has run a successful soul night in Newton Aycliff for many years and has more recently started a bi-monthly 60's night in Shildon. He and Ann are regular Sink attendees, and we are seeing an increasing number of people visiting from the North East due in no small part to Kev's enthusiasm for the Sink.

Fantastic day at the Sink, a packed club from early on with attendees from all parts of the country. Busy dance floor all day with everyone thoroughly enjoying the mix of music—this isn’t just another northern soul Club playing top 500, the music is fresh, varied and top quality.
Thanks to everyone who attended and to our guest DJ Kev Richardson who stepped in for Dennis and who played two top sets 🤙

Next one down in the basement of Heebie Jeebies is on Sunday 16th April, 3pm till 9pm—hope you can make it 😎😁

Thanks to all that attended yesterday's Sink session with especial thanks to those who travelled from far and wide. Fantastic atmosphere from the get-go with quite a few arriving before 3. Special mention to Kev Richardson who had the floor packed during both his spots. Hope to see you again on the 16th April for another instalment down in the basement of Heebie Jeebies.
