Tonight we remember Soul at The Rec founder Roger Conneely as well as raising money for his chosen charity Macmillan Cancer Support. I hope you can join us as we remember Roger a true gentleman of soul.

This night is going to be a night to remember our dear friend MR ROGER CONNEELY,so lets dig deep,and make it a night ROGER would be proud of,be early folks,because i know it will be standing room only

It will be an emotional evening I’m sure , and one to remember too.. Rogers Charity events were always well supported and raised much needed funds for Macmillan cancer support.. looking forward to a very special evening of northern soul…

Its an honor and privilege to be asked to DJ at such a worthy cause, all in memory of a true gentleman of the soul scene. It would be nice to have a great turnout for a guy who was ALWAYS the first to put his hand in his pocket to help charities.

Come on guys, lets get together and do it one more time for Roger .

Johnny, Can you tell me if there is any truth in what i heard today - That ITV are coming to film dancers at this event  ?, if so, this really would be a fitting tribute to a true soulie.

Hi Nige, got a phone call & email this morning from ITVs reporter Paul Crone. He wants film footage of dancers & the scene today for a feature on the longevity of Northernsoul as working class entertainment. No interviews just dancers. He said if anyone doesn't want to be filmed just say & he will have it removed. With all the venues on this month I think we are lucky he has chosen ours.

Cheshire Soul Clubs Charity Night have been a regular annual event since 2007 that's at least 16 years of raising much needed funds. It couldn't be done without the help of all the people that turned up. Last year we raised £920 let's see if we can match it this year. See you all on Saturday & thank you to the people who have already made a donation.
