The East Neuk of Fife launch party for "Hey America!"
Award-winning author and broadcaster Stuart Cosgrove's latest epic. Continuing his forensic levels of research into American soul music and social history (expertly examined in the acclaimed soul trilogy of "Detroit 67", "Memphis 68" and "Harlem 69"), this time the spotlight is shone on the unique relationship between Black Music and the White House.
Event will feature:
• Book Reading and Spoken Word with Stuart
• Q&A session
• Book signing session (stall hosted by publishers Polygon Books)
• Soul Club after-party
After the spoken word part, the lights dim and Stuart will be joined on the decks by Glasgow-based DJ and collector Andrew Divine, spinning soul across the spectrum - northern soul, crossover, funk and disco until 1am.
Happening in the intimate surroundings of Futtle (an organic brewery and record shop on the outskirts of St. Monans) in the beautiful East Neuk of Fife. Tickets are extremely limited to 70 - as the Brothers Of Soul sang... hurry, don't linger!
