ABOUT THE BALLROOM
The Empress Ballroom dates to the 1920s and has been host to many exclusive events and still features the original high ceilings and ornate décor. However, the main feature is the vintage ball room sprung dance floor mechanism with the ability to prevent dancers from micro-injuries to their joints or muscles. This innovative dance flooring prevents injuries through offering a more supportive surface and can even extend a dancer’s career. Micro injuries may not cause a significant impact to dancer’s performance in the short term, but persistent use of un-sprung or solid flooring can cause these to evolve into more serious injuries. Through creating a more forgiving surface and returning expended energy rather than absorbing it, sprung dance floors reduce the dancer’s fatigue, further improving performance, so you can dance all night for longer but only at the Empress Building.
RESTAURANT
The Goa Spice bar and restaurant will also be open from 5pm should you choose to dine before the event. Goan cuisine consists of regional foods popular in Goa, a state located along India’s west coast on the shore of the Arabian Sea. Rice, seafood, coconut, vegetables, lamb, chicken, and local spices are just some of the main ingredients in Goan cuisine, which will definitely spice up you're evening.
This is an exclusive event, so early booking is recommended, with attendance expected to be around 200 people, each of whom will be guaranteed an amazing night of fun and entertainment along with some great music and all for a great cause.
