It’s the big one, it’ll be the last one, don’t dare miss it!
Two clubs with one aim, quality Rare Soul Music, come together for one final time. The Top Dog Soul Club from its origins in Gloucestershire at clubs such as Wheelwrights under Dave Thorley, through to its spiritual home in Stafford (with Keith Minshull) then Chesterfield (with the Kool Kat Danny Everard) and beyond. Soultown, from that there London Town under the auspices of Tony Smith and Ion Tsakalis at places such as the Penny Black and then nationwide, well Tony's Empress in Blackburn and Mexborough with Guy Hennigan on board, come together for one final time.

Come along and listen to and dance to the legendary sounds of the 80s Post Wigan Rare Soul Scene for one more time at the original home of the Stafford all-nighters The Top of The World (now Club Couture).

The night kicks off downstairs in what was Cinderella Rockerfellas
18:00 - 20:00 Soul Sam & Arthur fenn

Then it’s into the main Ballroom
20:00 - 20:30 Ion “The Greek” Tsakalis
20:30 - 21:30 Ion & Tony Smith
21:30 - 22:30 Dave Thorley
22:30 - 23:30 Guy Hennigan
23:30 - 00:30 Butch
00:30 - 01:30 Keb Darge
01:30 - 02:30 Colin Law
02:30 - 03:30 Dean Anderson & John Pugh
03:30 - 04:30 Guy & Keb...hopefully

This will not happen again, it’s the big Last Hurrah from those halcyon 80’s musically ground-breaking wild-times! Make sure you are there…..

You should have received a receipt from Paypal.  We can't practically send a message to everyone who has bought tickets.  But send me a message with the name(s) for who you bought the the tickets under and your address and I will chase it up.  The tickets will probably be on the door for you now.

Are we there yet?

Cast your mind back as Keith Minshull takes to the decks at 4pm, bit of fatigue setting in, then ..........................

BOOM.

SEVERE VOLUME RECOMMENDED.

Best niter I've been to in a decade

Unreal brilliant fantastic education inspiration.

Our little Club in Accrington is based on this music. We will continue and hopefully some of this crowd discovers our music.

I arrived around 17.30. Doors were locked. I managed to entre via rear doors. I get easily confused. Greeted by Chris. Said I was to early and a number were at The Swan. So trudged off and went for pint. Caught up with a pal of my mate Simo. Sharing stories, as you do. Anyway the clock struck 6 and exudes. We were entertained in the modern/upfront room till 8. It's not my bag. However I enjoyed it. 😉

We went upstairs. I caught up with the Lancaster lads and Wayne and Wally. Thanks lads for looking after me. I had to leave at 2'ish. Hit the wall. But the music. Holly Molly, quite simply stupendous. No repeats. The DJs we all in the room paying attention. The floor was rammed the whole night. The atmosphere electric and appreciative. The Sound System superb. I managed to get home around 5. That's the longest I've been out for a long time. Entertained and educated beyond scope. My English isn't good enough to explain all the superlatives of this event.

Further. I don't think one DJ stood out over the others. Quality was that good 👍 👌 👏

However Guy did play a Velvettes track

Let Love Live A Little Bit longer. Unissued Acertate I believe. Stunning.

What was Berry Gordy thinking about. 🤔

Wow what a track.

Fantastic night that will live long in the memory. So glad to have had the opportunity to see the 6Ts Mafia live and even better than I had expected.

Big thank you to all concerned.
