15th Hamburg Soul Weekender 2022

Hi Soulies,

We would like to give you some information about the Weekender in September 2022 (09. - 11.). While infection numbers are rising in Germany to new record highs at the moment, we are confident that this wave will calm down by summer.

There is a really good chance to celebrate a normal Soul Weekender early September under some soft Covid rules (jabbed, tested, recovered). Last week all local clubs reopened and it is allowed to dance again.

During the next weeks the online tickets for the Soul boat tour on Sunday will be on sale. We will post the link to the tickets shortly. You don`t need to make a ticket reservation for the main venue (just pay at the door – it worked fine for 15 years) and the Alldayer is admission free anyway.

Now for the not so good news: After one and a half decades the challenge to organise such a big event has taken its toll on us from year to year. Don`t get us wrong: We still love to see so many people from all over Europe to have a good time together in our hometown, but it would be nice to be there as guests and not as hosts for a change.

After some discussions we therefore decided to end the annual Hamburg Soul Weekender after this year in September for now. Maybe we will do it again in a few years, maybe not. Never say never, but right now we all need a break from the routine.

So if you like to come to Hamburg for the final big party, with lots of laughter and tears, fantastic Soul music from great DJs, the friendliest crowd you can wish for and to build some great last memories, make sure to book your flights, trains and accomodation while you can.
