Ady Croasdell 2,526 Posted December 16, 2021 I'm very sorry, it's a total bastard but we've decided to cancel the 100 Club Xmas Party which was due to have taken place on Thursday 23rd December. It's down to the new strain of Covid - working it's way through society at a rate of knots. Several clubs have reported Coronavirus cases shortly after events of this kind. Unsurprisingly, with a few drinks down us and general merriment, it's easy to see how this can happen; the flesh is weak. Personally I'll be visiting my pregnant daughter and I don't want to take risks of spreading the blasted thing and if people had come and caught it at our event, there's a strong case to say we would have been irresponsible to run it. The whole world's in turmoil and God knows how next year will pan out. Jeff, the 100 Club owner, who has suffered more than most, is optimistic that although the new strains are more contagious they have weaker symptoms and eventually the virus will mutate into nothng worse than a cold and we can resume life. Don't give a dose to the one you love most! Have as good a Christmas as you can and see you in 2022. Ady & Matt 2
