About The Event
The Juke Joint returns to the Jacaranda Club. The DJs will be playing in the basement as usual and the music will be hooked up to the ground floor. We have our regular resident DJs David Melling and David Callister playing and Phil Laing. We have Richard Free as our very special guest DJ.
The Juke Joint happens in an authentic basement bar set in a legendary Liverpool club, The Jacaranda. The Jacaranda opened in 1958 originally as a Jazz club evolving thru the 60s embracing Mersey Beat, Mod, Soul, R'n'B and Jamaican music and culture. The Juke Joint is a free bi-monthly event for those who like to listen and dance to amazing music in a cool and friendly place. Expect to hear gritty R'n'B, 60s Soul, Ska, Rocksteady and cool Mod sounds all on original vinyl.
