is this a clash with the Brid Spa Weekender ?

Hardly a clash, more of a CHARITY SOUL EVENT raising funds for prostate cancer, which happens to coincide with the much, much larger  and far greater attended Spa weekender.

I'm sure you'd agree that our much smaller FREE entry event is highly unlikely to have any significant impact on the attendance at  the Spa, as our CHARITY event starts from 14.00 hrs and finishes around 20.00 hrs in the evening during the soul weekend. If you've been to the the Brid.  Weekenders you'll find there are other venues playing soul music at this particular time viz; Victoria Sailors & Working men's club

From my past experience of the weekender, these clubs and pubs take onboard the fact that the majority of 'soulies' attending the weekender like to move around the town a visit various music based locations around Bridlington ( including the Windsor), and the fact that the Spa in the afternoons is relatively quite, thus you'll find that these establishment's take advantage of this passing trade.

hope to see you at the Windsor

This event at the Windsor has been active for quite a few years now and is a great little venue if you wish to pop in and listen to some great music and at the same time donate to a great cause

Cheers , Im more than happy to support your event , Ive donated vinyl records in the past and a monthly standing order. Ive been through a cancer scare myself so you've got my support . I think I was anxious about the Spa event still  going ahead , as Ive opted for it after 2 cancellations of the BISF. To be honest I prefer the Yorkshire coast . !

Greg,

Not only pop in but for a great hand pulled pint, for those of us that don't like fizzy alcohol, great music and support a worthy charity and then onto the Spa for great music and a dance and support another worthy charity is all part of the Brid weekender.  Bring it on!

This is a great event.      'Cozy' sums it up nicely.  Fantastic guys running it,  VERY worthwhile charity (you may appreciate this one day, lads) and a fab chippy across the street.

it doesnt clash one bit, with the Spa event,  they've gone hand in hand for years.

     see ya there

So is this a charity event, just checking cos there was at least two sentences that did not have the word CHARITY in them

A great little event, many of the people do not want to spend all day in the Spa, some do, this is located within 5 minutes walk and a great place to meet up before, after or during the larger venue event if you want to break out for a while.

in answer to "oldboldmod" 100% a charity event, we all give our time and efforts for free, hope to see you there.

CHARITY SOUL @ the WINDSOR, BRIDLINGTON.

After having a discussion with Mick, the landlord at the Windsor Hotel we have come to the conclusion, due to the government and local council restrictions imposed about covid regulations regarding seating, social distancing and reduced music sound levels that it would not be viable, feasible or enjoyable to go ahead with the Soul weekender planned here.

We are fully behind Mick in his decision and understand the dilemma he was facing.

We look forward to working with the Windsor management at future dates and will.keep our supporters posted about these events.

Thanks for your past support.
