There’s A Reason - Riccardo & The 4 Most - Private press on the group’s own Foremost Records out of New York 1967, made up of an interracial Black and White group including bandleader Riccardo Wright (guitar), Ralph Marotta (bass), George Leary (drums), Douglas Jacobs (organ) and Bill White who wrote and sung lead. Slow and low, group harmony “oohs” that’ll have you sitting close to that special someone in your life.

Yes I’m Ready - The Lost Legend - This rola is fits perfectly alongside I’ll Search The World by The Intentions with mariachi vibrato horns that breathes life into this Barbara Mason classic about an innocent love, and making memories all over again!

Stay With Me - Me And Him Duo - This rola was recorded by organ player Phil Long (me) and drummer John Hill (him) from Philly, PA on PAZA, as noted by this rola’s heavy organ licks and Phil Long pleading with a broken heart “Stay With Me”. Phil Long pours his guts out to the point that she’d be a fool to not take this man back in his arms again!

Bleak Street - Mike McCain - The Shades of Sorrow series would not be complete without a heavy record or two. What sounds to be in part inspired by James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s World” with its own take of a heavy horn section, a sax solo filled with sorrow and a cold dark tale down a bleak street. Recorded privately in 1970 on Tiki Records out of Texas. Its flip is a dancer (Not featured on this comp) that lightens up the mood titled “Someday”.

I’ll Search The World - The Intentions - Most White groups tend to have more of a Rock influence but make no mistake, any collector would be fooled to think this is one of the many talented Black Harmony Groups out of Philly. This obscure rola is oozing with falsetto vocals and what sounds like a mariachi vibrato horn backing. Believed to be the same Intentions out of Middletown, PA who recorded a killer mid tempo Group Harmony rola titled “Don't Forget That I Love You” on Phillips.
