I would be very interested in knowing how you go about promoting a new artist 

to get them maximum exposure nowadays?

Please excuse my ignorance but I got the impression you will be cutting some acetates and selling them for quite a high fee ( in my humble opinion) far beyond my reach for sure  and as pointed out with added provision to protect the rights of the production.

What happens after the Dj's have basically marketed the product by playing it to the mass to generate interest and eventual sales I would assume ? Do you then intend to release the artists work to the general record buying public ( be it a relatively small market . I would guess the Cd market place would generate more revenue ? 

If you don't mind my saying this is very different from the days of old when a record salesperson used to hammer a Dj's door down to get an artists work played/noticed , but then this is Y2K and things may be different ?

I have known others to give/feed their material to Dj's to aid the eventual sales of the singles.

Do you have to pay a royalty to the writer of the backing track ?

I am genuinely interested in the procedure.

I can think of a good Rod Keith backing track that would be enhanced by her voice   and its so under played everyone one would think it was a new release !

As I mentioned in my original post above I will be taking considerable care to do this right this time around and to ensure Zoe is rewarded for her efforts.

Zoe was extremely happy to read such positive comments on here.

She did them both in one take too and also had the flu.
