Vintage 2011 - A Word
Hello everyone, hope all is well.....
Just wanted to let you know about the upcoming Vintage 2011 festival........After the phenominal success of last years event at Goodwood,this year its being held in Londons Prestigous Southbank Centre on 29th 30th 31st July........
As its still in its final planning stage theres no definate line-up for Live Acts but last year saw incredible performances from the likes of Leroy Hutson,Ann Sexton, Joe Bataan, Martha Reeves............So you know its gonna be a class act !
Deejay wise last year saw Norman Jay,Colin Curtis,Chris Hill, Ady Croasdell,Bob Jones,Eddie Pillar,Val Palmer,Ian Dewhirst,Johnny T,Lloyd Attrill ,Chris Bangs and many more....
Expect a similar quality line up and some surprises......
Personally speaking, i thought it was the best event ive ever been to,taking in not only Soul Music in a very professional manner but theres just so much else going on........Music and Fashion have always gone hand in hand... It was awsome.
I cant imagine theres anyone who went along who didnt absolutely love it..........
Oh, and please dont delay in purchasing your tickets. It will definately sell out.....

Hemingway Design have announced plans for 2011's Vintage festival which was introduced last year as Vintage at Goodwood a glamorous festival celebrating all things great about Britain.
This years event will run in collaboration with the 60th anniversary of the 1951 Festival of Britain held at The South Bank.
"On the 29th , 30th , 31st July London's iconic Southbank Centre will host the award winning Vintage concept .This wonderful 21 acre section of the Embankment, including The Royal Festival Hall , The Hayward Gallery , Queen Elizabeth Hall , Purcell Room , The British Film Institute ,the shops , restaurants and bars and the Thames Embankment itself will be transformed into a Vintage Wonderland .All the wonderful clubs, bands , fashions, art , and design , film ,shops , vintage retailers , dance lessons , make overs ,workshops that made Vintage 2010 so memorable will be there along with some cool new surprises. Vintage on The South Bank will celebrates the music, fashion, film, art, dance and design from the 1920s,30s, 40s 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s, that has made Britain the world's creative and cultural hot bed. Vintage explores this rich cultural history and the extraordinary influence that it has had on the modern world.
Vintage on the South Bank features an inspirational line up of world renowned bands, DJs, collectors from each decade as well as current bands and brands inspired by Britain's rich creative heritage. Vintage pays homage to the best of British fashion design through a line-up of catwalk shows, hands on creative experiences with a gathering of over 200 of the finest purveyors of vintage clothing, accessories, and homewares in a Vintage Marketplace running for hundreds of metres along The Thames.
