Company blurb
Much interest domestically and abroad has been generated over the years about an indie soul label in San Diego, CA called Musette Records, whose short life span (1965-1968) only produced less than 20 singles, and no full albums. More than 40 years later, Musette would achieve the collectible status among record buyers of northern soul, who recognize and appreciate the R&B grooves that pulsated on these now extremely rare singles.

Saw this last week and was a bit disappointed with what was included.  Maybe that was from a selfish Northern/Rare soul perspective though?

Hopefully a second instalment will be forthcoming?

I thought that, i.e. Bit disappointed, all in all a bit short on the soul sides, the 4 or so best 45s on musette were no where to be seen.....

It mentions the popularity of the label due to Northern Soul yet misses all the Northern biggies off.  A double Lp of all the output would have been nice.  Hopefully a second instalment to come.

I would have thought they would have included the unreleased June Jackson sides, if they had access to tapes or masters?  that alone would have sold the CD..
