Join Kev Roberts and Richard Searling Smooth Radio at Midnight on New Years Eve for 6 hours of Northern Soul. The show will kick off with 60 minutes of Motown then the 'All Nighter' with Richard Searling and Kev Roberts playing the very best of Northern Soul.

The show is available on 100.4 FM (North West) check for regional variations, DAB, Sky, Freeview and on line @ www.smoothradio.co.uk.

From Mid-January on Smooth 70's (DAB and on line across the UK) Richard and Kev will present a new Sunday afternoon show reflecting the 70's, which includes Soul and Northern which touched our lives during that decade.

60's anthems played at the All Nighters/Dayers, 70's new releases, 70's that are popular today plus Exclusive Interviews.

Just to add....the All Nighter starts at Midnight NYEve/Day with non stop Motown. 1-6 covers the Wheel, Wigan, All Nighter anthems and Massive Enders.

Then from Jan 13th on Smooth 70's(DAB across the UK) every Sunday 2-4pm join us for Richard & Kev's Soul Connection.

A weekly look at what happened in the 70's.

Hear 60's Northern, 70's with lots of features including interviews with 70's Movers and Shakers.

First up is Blues and Soul founder John Abbey.

Future shows include producer Norman Bergen, Chicago arranger Willie Henderson plus Jim Gilstrap, Joe Bataan, Thelma Houston, Warren Schatz, Patti Austin and more.

It's a commercial radio station that relies on advertising for its very existence,the days of specialist programmes going to air are long gone,expect classic tracks with ads aimed at fifty year olds and over.For truly forward thinking formats the arena for that is podcasts.

I Sky Plussed it and have listened to the first couple of hours so far. I will listen to the rest. I enjoyed it, the Wheel section was what you would have expected it to be. My Mrs commented that she knew every tune and liked them. Sam & Dave - Soothe Me and Bar Kays - Soulfinger :hatsoff2: kind of stuff section was good.

If you were looking for something to complain about you would probably have found something. If you were taking it for what it was intended to be; you would have enjoyed it. :):thumbsup:
