Scepter Wand Forever! A new book now out magazine cover

Scepter Wand Forever! by Stephen Guarnori

Tracing the history of Scepter Records and its subsidiary labels. The story details the growth of Scepter in the 1960s in New York with signings like Dionne Warwick and B J Thomas and a host of others, through the early days of disco music in the 1970s, and to the company's eventual demise in 1976. The book arrived yesterday and I had a quick sneaky read while pretending to be part of a conversation with my wife.   It's a great book.  Lots to read and return to there.  Thanks for all your work on it Steve.

I'm really knocked out by this. It is a hugely impressive and very comprehensive homage to the mighty Scepter-Wand labels. It's really well written and an absolute joy to read. Congratulations to Steve on a superb piece of work. I know it must have been a real labour of love but it must have been a lot of effort!

Well done Steve. Enjoying the book and no one in the world knows more than you about Scepter Wand, that's for sure.  I know from personal experience how much effort goes into writing a book like this and you should be proud of what you've accomplished.

I am up to 1968 in reading the book and learning so much, what a story there is around the label(s). By including songs distributed through Scepter Wand it extends the reach out across USA and internationally.  I am enjoying it greatly.  Many facts, artists links and pseudonyms are explained that add context to the music.
