RIP Sean Adams 6t’s Member 001 Skinhead Sean Southgate N14 Gofundme for Funeral expenses magazine cover

Very sad news to report of the sudden death of Sean Adams, the original 6t’s member 001 and who famously adorned the cover of Too Darn Soulful and Soul Galore.

Sean was a massive character, great loyal friend to many, a complete one off who’s real family was the soul crowd he devoted himself too. Leaned the trade of roofing off his bestie Randy Cozens in the mid 70s and was well known for his tattooed tanned body, unique style and dress sense, dance moves and passion for the soul scene.

We want to lay him in rest but he passed suddenly recently and was living out of his van in Southgate his home for many years.

Please help us send Sean off in style by contributing where possible to our gofundme page at

Thanks Terry Cozens (friend and neighbour for 46 years)

Really sad news.

Sean knew so many people,  I can’t speak as one that knew him really really well, but in the 9ts I knew him up the 100 club, he was frightening and lovely in equal measure.

I used to rep a photo agency and we cleared that immortal shot of him doing splits on the dance floor for wall art in tower records, so I approached him one night at the 100 club to get a model release,  he was pissed, I was totally gone, but the promise of 1000 pounds was too much to not say no to, and he visited our offices in the week, signed the form and we wrote him a cheque, on the way out he said I thought you were full of shit! But obviously not.  lol

I will say thought he never bought me a drink for the easiest grand he ever earned! But he deserved it, he was a face, in the proper way.

Rest in peace Sean

Terrible news.

Sean sometimes gave me lifts home from the 100 club in the late 80's. The journey always took a while with detours etc😂.

As many have said, a proper face and I used to love to see him dancing, he was indeed a force and a true one off character. A sad loss...

Sean Adams - One of the greatest characters that we have ever had the pleasure to know.

Thanks for being you!

I saw Sean at the last 3 or 4 100 Club niters, following one of his involuntary periods of absence. It was great to see him back but he didn't seem quite himself to me. When I asked if he was alright I just got one of his stock answers.. "it'll all come out in the wash."

Pleased to have known you fellah, and saddened to see you go.

Rest in Peace No1.

Guys, I know Sean will get the send-off he deserves tomorrow.  I unfortunately won't be in attendance as the worst clash of events that I've ever encountered means that I will be at my son's wedding on the same afternoon. Maybe see some of you at the 100 Club on Saturday - though all things considered that's not guaranteed for me either.
