Very bad news from the Muscle Shoals area ... Rick Hall died today in his home in Muscle Shoals. He was 85 years old and passed following a battle with cancer .... 

Guess he'll be directing the backing band in that big recording studio in the sky (@ 2am) in the near future ...

Heard the news driving back from Wales this afternoon. Radio 4's 6pm news broadcast; very decent coverage for a great man who gave us so much wonderful music.
