Mighty Hannibal RIP
a sad loss to the music world
Just hearing the sad news that the legendary soul/funk artist/producer The Mighty Hannibal has passed away at the age of 74. He provided us with some great music over the years and it's a sad loss to the music world. Hopefully they make a film of his life - it's well overdue.
R.I.P.

Sad news indeed - The Mighty Hannibal (James Shaw) - a real soul singer & dapper dresser too. Have to say always loved his Loma 45 ' Get in the groove'. It was only a couple of years ago or so that Elton John was hanging with the Hannibal after recording a cover of his 'Hymn No. 5' (never too late to pick up some tips Sir Reg)

A colourful 'ornery geezer with a great body of work on more than a dozen labels over the decades. Kent Harris reckoned he discovered him while sleeping in his car In LA. I'd say R I P but I can't picture him doing much resting
