Out comes the first trailer for the upcoming James Brown bio pic from Universal
Titled 'Get On Up' this bio film is described as a chronicle of James Brown's rise from his impoverished childhood to the status of one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century and is scheduled for a August 1st US release

In his follow-up to the four-time Academy Award®-nominated blockbuster The Help, Tate Taylor directs 42’s Chadwick Boseman as James Brown in Get on Up.
Based on the incredible life story of the Godfather of Soul, the film will give a fearless look inside the music, moves and moods of Brown, taking audiences on the journey from his impoverished childhood to his evolution into one of the most influential figures of the 20th century
Boseman is joined in the drama by Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Tika Sumpter, Jill Scott and Dan Aykroyd.

Bugger I was just about to come on here and plug it! Looks fab and I for one am so going to be first in line to see Brother James - without doubt THE coolest dancer that ever lived! Not to mention The Godfather of everything really :-) Good God!

Its looks like a really fun film, his story is unbelievable we all know that, but I just wonder about that actor as James Brown, he's not real enough for James, not rough enough... maybe its just the trailer.
Thought 'Ray' was a good film also, but its not the way I'd like to remember Ray Charles.. and I think this film on James Brown will be very much the same, do you know what I mean...
