Introducing Kimberlite Records

Introducing Kimberlite Records magazine cover

Hi all,

My friends and I have started a new label called Kimberlite Records in Edmonton Canada and we’re about to release our first record featuring a local group called The Estimations.  The Estimations are heavily influenced by the “big city” soul sound and their first release features an up-tempo side with latin percussion b/w a Sam Cooke influenced ballad.

This has been a really rewarding project for all involved and we’re currently going into production on our next record which will have a funky crossover feel b/w a sweet soul track.

If you’re curious please check us out at www.kimberliterecords.com, Kimberlite Records on Facebook, or @kimberliterecords on Instagram.

Cheers,
Jeff

Was about order a couple of presales, but shipping is a problem. Cheapest option - surface mail - could take three months to arrive!

Will you be selling via Juno or any of the other European online stores? I hope so...

Hi Russell,

Thanks for the interest!  This record will be on Juno in limited quantity.

I totally hear you on the shipping piece too, Canada is one of those large geography / low population density spots that charges dearly for shipping, it's definitely a disadvantage.

As long as copies will be available to buy from somewhere in Europe, all is good as far as I'm concerned. Two good sides on the 45. I hope it goes well for you and that it's the first in a long line of successes for your new label.
