Tony Clarke.  Wrong man $960 omg  that's ridiculous.  Everytime this list is published I'm gobsmacked at what people are paying 

That bloody Pow Wow rubbish FFS. 

Looking at the very poor condition some of these high price items have fetched, there must be some very desperate collectors out there!

The Machine LP, unbelievable.......looking at a list like this just proves yet again that prices still - for some records, obviously, not all -- only go in one direction - up. 

eBay winners but few in pristine condition. Small wonder John Manship's offerings outclass these. Still, pretty interesting to see a Gwen Owens up for grabs. Condition of these higher-end rarities is definitely worsening. Oddly enough, Jimmy McFarland fetched double the usual rate. Larry Allen’s price tumbling as the seller lets them out one by one...watch this space.

The Gwen Owens was for sale for a couple of weeks on Discogs Frankie, I bought a copy of Sidra's Theme off the seller at the time, I am guessing Carolina Soul purchased it off the seller and so put it up on ebay it sold for only 20/25 quid more than the asking price on discogs. 

I can't believe how much Tony Troutman sold for. How could that be?

So there could have been a loss once PayPal and eBay fees of 14% are factored in. Crafty if the tactic pays off, but plenty of free advertising if it doesn’t.

Be interesting to see them settle down to normal prices. As Butch started playing it or something to explain the stupid prices

Butch has far better sounds in his box. The seller has a significant but unspecific  quantity so is selling them off one-by-one. They are mint unplayed, unsold store stock BUT tested on a poor quality deck with bog-standard stylus causing crackle to the styrene pressing.

I know Mark has  better records but he does occasionally dig out a oldie to re activate which then becomes a must have for all his many fans which would explain the crazy prices people are asking for it. Including L Allen not just these mint unplayed Larry Allens

Yes, expect they lost out with Gwen, seller had it up for $5000 ( £3,860) on Discogs. They did alright with Jimmy McFarland though that copy was on Discogs for £350 remember seeing it as it had the red felt pen cross marks, You win some You lose some!  

when did the inverts on broadway become a £1000 record,,its a lovely record mind
