Dynamites Feat Charles Walker

Dynamites Feat Charles Walker magazine cover

Think quite a few of you might like to find this under the Christmas tree on Dec 25th.

A great new album from Charles Walker & the Dynamites.

Better known probably to most as Little Charles and The Sidewinders who recorded many "Northern Soul" favourites for Decca, Little Charles or Charles Walker as he is known today, is still performing to this day as lead singer with the Dynamites.

New probably isn't the right word to use really as it could have been made 40 years ago.

The stand out tracks for me are track 3, Still Can't Get You Out Of My Heart.

Very nice & dare I say Crossovery & also track 6, Love Is Only Everything, 110% storming Northern Soul (honestly!).

The albums also available on vinyl & CD so format shouldn't be a problem.

Know how feeling is towards newly made retro sounding stuff but this really is very good as you'll hear on the link below.

The second link should take you directly to the Cosmic Groove website to purchase directly in the format of your choice.

Sounds good, tracks for me are ...

5 "Yours and Mine"

9. "Please Open The Door" which is a reworking of his excellent outing on Botanic as Little Charles & the Sidewinders. Also got a release on Red Sands with a lot of copies mispressed as "Nobody Knows"

I;m loving "Still Can't Get You Out Of My Heart", and it went down well when played out at the weekend, not feeling the other tunes on the LP though.

Heard it on Solar radio the other week. Just got mine.

Still can't get you out of my heart has to be the track.

I like this as well, a nice left field duet. It's very much in the same ilk as the recent Martha High & Speedometer LP, which I also like a lot too.

Agree John, duetting with Bettye LaVette on that one.

Also sounds like her on "Real Deal" from the 2009 Burn It Down" album.

It never fails to amaze me how crap the promoters of these concerts are, never heard a thing about it to be honest.

If anyone hears of any artist doing a show anywhere give me a shout and i'll make sure everyone on here knows about them.
