"It is with much regret that I'm sending you this mail to inform you that I've decided to stop DJ'ing in the UK at the end of this year 2005. It has not been an easy decision to make, I've decided rightly or wrongly to call it a day as a DJ in the UK. No more working in UK Clubs Radio or the media over here I've had enough of it all and have decided after 38 years I don't won't to be part of the UK Soul/music scene anymore. I appreciate all the work and opportunities you've given me, but I'm sick and tired of working in the UK music business. I will still accept bookings and work abroad but not in the UK. Also I'm not going to be a part of Chilli Funk Records anymore, so I'm sorry to say I'll have to call it a day where the label is concerned.I hope you understand my feelings on this, it has not been an easy decision to make. Before you ask me, it's not open for any discussion with me, my decision is final. I thank you all so much for your friendship and your belief in Dr Bob Jones over the years, especially all the promoters, DJ's, Press, Media etc that it's been a pleasure to work with over the years and I trust our friendship will carry on. But I am not happy being a DJ/Presenter in the UK any more and if I'm not happy doing it there's no point in continuing. It has became a task and for me isn't enjoyment or fun anymore. Thank you once again, respect to you all always. Dr. Bob Jones
