Carmy Love caused quite a stir with the release of her debut single, "Thinkin' About You", earlier this year. Thanks to the overwhelming levels of support shown across the soul community, "Thinkin' About You" was shared far and wide, earning regular plays on several stations including Mi-Soul, Global Soul and Craig Charles' Funk & Soul show on BBC 6 Music. The Independent also added it to their "Now Hear This" new music playlist on Spotify.

With pre-orders for physical copies mounting up, it's finally time to reveal the A-side that will complement "Thinkin' About You" on 7" vinyl....  Carmy's self-penned "Rebel"

As we head towards brighter days, this is exactly the kind of music we all need; joyous, uplifting and triumphant. Carmy delivers a beautiful vocal with more than a hint of gospel influence. Augmented by shimmering guitars and emphatic brass, "Rebel" is sure to put a spring in your step.

Carmy Love wrote "Rebel" several years ago but the lyrics feel unnervingly prescient, taking on an entirely different meaning in 2021. Having performed the song regularly with New Street Adventure, fans of the band will welcome the chance to hear this former live favourite in all its studio glory.

Introducing Carmy Love ...

Carmy may be a familiar face to fans of New Street Adventure: As an original member of the band she made a major contribution to "No Hard Feelings" - NSA's debut album on Acid Jazz -with her stunning backing vocals elevating the record to modern soul classic status.

Born and raised in North West London, Carmy had a rich musical upbringing: Her Mother and Step-Father were DJs on several underground stations including Roots, Unique and Flava Radio.

The likes of Janet Kay, Louisa Marks and Ch aka Khan all featured heavily during her formative years, whilst an early grounding in Gospel singing developed her vocal style and stage craft.

Having also sung with Cool Million, Ruby Blu and House Gospel Choir it's now time for Carmy Love to take centre-stage by teaming up with Big AC Records to release her first solo single,

Produced by Mitch Ayling (The Milk) and backed by a NSA-heavy line-up of musicians, this double sider 45 offers an exciting glimpse of what's to come from this incredible new soul artist.
