6ts Weekenders, but not as you know it


6TS Weekenders have been sold to Soul Partners aka Phil Dick and Neil Rushton.

After 25 years of blind panic and last minute fixes, I’ve decided to fully retire from organising the weekender, but will continue to DJ and aim to whoop it up a tad more. Phil and Neil will run everything though I will help them in the transition. I will be involved for at least three more years by which time most of us will be ga-ga anyway. 2019 will be remarkably like the others except better run and I’ll smile more.

Phil & Neil recently made this announcement:


“Carolyn Crawford and fellow Detroiter Willie Jones have been announced as the headline acts for the 2019 6T’s Cleethorpes Rare & Modern Soul Weekender.

The event takes place over the weekend of June 7th to 9th 2019 at The Beachcomber Holiday Park.

Carolyn is one of the few artists to have recorded for both Tamla Motown and Philadelphia International, was a member of Chapter 8, and her amazing vocals on Hamilton Bohannon’s “Let’s Start The Dance” have made it one of dance music’s most iconic....

I hope Willie (Where's My Money) Jones will be singing some of his McArthur (Brown Dog) and 21st  (Joy) recordings amongst his 60's repertoire ?

Good luck to all concerned....

Not sure if it's out of fashion now....but to hear the likes of Jock Mitchell belting out the tunes up close and personal is the icing on the cake.

Carolyn Crawford was brill at last year's Detroit gig.
