Hi Paul sadley the liverpool as been canceled due to the fact Yvonne needs to be back in Detroit for the 13th october ...we did try to arrange an earlier date at the same venue but the promoter couldn't get the venue ,,if you do know anywhere please pm asap

Yvonne was the lead singer of a group called the Donays who recorded for Correc-tone where she alos recorded solo recording the Northern favourite from late Wigan early Stafford era "Does He Love Me Anymore".

Firstly, it's The Elgins who are touring. Maybe Hitsville Chalky, the agent has a solo gig for Yvonne, but the dates Sept 21 Stoke, 22nd Blackburn and 23rd Rolls Royce Derby are group led with Yvonne adding 'Just Like You Did Me' off the back of their Motown stuff.

For those in the South, The Academy, Basingstoke is the setting on Sunday Sept 30th.

All venue's will have on stage The Elgin's with Lead singer Yvonne Vernee . The group have not worked since Ian levine's Motorcity prodject until 2007 when myself reformed them to appear at Northampton weekender and JCT 2 alldayer ... and yet again haven't worked since then so it's a pleasure to keep the legacy alive and bring The Elgin's show back to the Uk .. with Lead singer Yvonne Vernne Allen .

There is only one Original member alive who owns the rights to the name The Elgin's and started the group as The Downbeats .. and that is Johnny Dawson , sadley due to his knee problems and health Johnny dont work anymore and as already stated The Elgin's don't either. next in line to johnny is Yvonne who joined the group 1968 replacing Sandra . when Ian reformed them for the Motorcity prodjcet he had Johnny .. Yvonne ..Norman .. and Jimmy Charles . after Ians prodject the group fell again with no work until 2007 when i reformed them with Yvonne and Jimmy Charles and Percy Williams ( The Metros ) .. Sadley Percy Passed away Novomber 2011 . with Johnny Dawson's blessing myself and Yvonne are keeping the legacy alive for The Elgin's ... Yvonne s never performed ... Just like you did me or Does he love me anymore live ! so we have decided to mix the live shows with Yvonne's solo work and The Elgin's classics . at present there is a fake group performing in the states as The Motown Elgin's check them out on You tube .. we are going to be taking legal ation with this group as they have nothing to do with Johnny's group .. This is the nearest best thing for an Elgin's show today with the conection with a contract signed at Motown with lead singer Yvonne Vernee Allen ... and most Important The Legacy Continues .

Wow What a night down at The Bury sports club with Yvonne Vernne Allen and the Elgins

The group were fantastic and Yvonne sang just like you did me acappella to a packed club

she came out onto the dance floor and danced with her adoring fans and sat signing autographs for around two hours after the show knowing she had a two hour car journey back to Wolverhampton

I've been slow to get back to Chalky after the Dunk and Nolan P.

Then a week last Sat I saw him again with Yvonne V + support at Gloucester.

No need to waste words. These are some of our [ well they're feckin def. mine ] heros and to not JUST see them on the stage, but to buy them a drink, have a natter, shoot the sh*t, and talk about other stuff as well, is bloody fantastic.

Just wanted to say to Chalky and all else involved ; great work mate !!
