2005 brings another step forward in the progression of Soulsville bringing top class Soul to Leeds. Our commitment in bringing some of the finest established names and the lesser known, and giving them a chance to play the music they want to play is demonstrated by Februarys 4ths guests. Eddie Engel - Bringing over 30 years experience on the scene, theres not much that can be said that already isnt known about the man from Huddersfield. Were really looking forward to having him bring his collection to Leeds. Philip Shields - This guy is coming all the way from Northern Ireland, and has without doubt one of the finest collection of records over the water. He doesnt play over here very often, so should be a good chance to hear what Phil has got to offer. Were proud of the fact that we play 100% original vinyl, and that the DJs can play what they think is right. There is no hard&fast music policy, only that it is quality. The exciting part is that you dont know what youre going to hear every month, and with regular guests that only reinforces our goal of being a little bit different. As regulars will know, we have always operated a free admission policy and run the night for free. Now we are committed to bringing in guests from the 4 corners, we are going to have to charge a small admission fee to pay for higher running costs.
