The Little Henry cover up hes playing is even better. It is in the list under its proper artist/title, although the artist is spelt wrong :-)

I am told that it came via Mr Anderson, passing the rather large 4 figures sum heading into his bank account in payment on the way, thus making 3 copies of said tune.

By the way that makes copy No 5 - Butch, Mick S&Mick H, Dave Welding and Steve Gaunori both have it as well. Sadly us mere mortals will have to be content with trying to mug them for it or praying to the God that is Mr Anderson that he may be able to secure the rights to it for a Grapevine release.

can not see it coming out on grapevine for a number of years yet.

as all known djs with it have it coverd up.very top secret wouid you say.from what ive heard they have all payed four figure sums for it dont think they wouid be happy chappys if john anderson released it on grapevine.so i think this is going to remain mystery for a number of years.also john manship has put a £££ large bounty on it for any infomation leading to its known identity.couid it be another little ann?

I think we can say that Grapevine wont be releasing, if at all, for many years sadly. Is it an unissued acetate? Who knows, but I did hear rumour some time ago that Mr Anderson was trying to secure the rights to an unissued UK LP by someone well known that fell through so it may be that if it is unreleased. Questions, always questions!!!! Mind you, at the next Plinston both Mick Smith and Butch can spin it at the same time in both rooms, that should really p*** us all off and rub salt in the wounds!!!! It is still a great record and one I belivie that Mick S spun first a good few years back so hats off to him for such a quality tune. Another for the Southern Soul Fraternity!!!

Correction - I have been told by my all-seeing Guru Taff that it was Dave Welding, then Butch then Mick then Steve who got the said record in that order - so a slap on the wrist for me, and a slap around the head for the smug Taff!!!!! Oh and he knows, because hes been told, the story behind the 45 I belive. As for John Manship willing to part with £££s for any info on its real identity I think his moneys safe because at 4 figures for one you can bet that said 5 DJs/Collectors will not be rushing to phone him to screw themselves!!!! Has anyone checked with Im back; Im gone;Im back; Im gone etc etc Levine to make sure he hasnt got boxes of this rare gem stashed away, like his other rare items: 4 Vandells and so on??? Anyway, thats the fun of collecting :-)

* Funny how this tune has been spun at the 100 and Cleethorpes for a good few years and not a whisper - now, BANG! Any reason for this or has the North just caught up with it????

I always associated it with mick smith, and was suprised when hear d butch play it at first llandudno weekender

Just a quick thought....why is it still covered up??? I mean if 5 People/DJs have the record then whats the point? It must be the big ego thing again kicking in...... LOL

The flip side is a great track as well by the way.

Uncover the bloody record someone and let the world know who the real artist of this master piece is. Cover up! Cover off more like.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear! You two really are lacking in the Manship offering stakes - I have this moment just offered a moggie Sharonette and a minor copy on Black Magic (of Rick Astleys version of I Go To Pieces) to Dave who is understandably quite excited about the offer - I do have in reserve the picture of you Taffy with the nightdress (!!!) which he seems to be VERY excited about. (on english) and talking about photos BigO i can go one better i have a picture of Taff, Dave and a sheep called Bobby Mutton at Cleethorpes! still i am glad you realise my first post was being ironic, its all quite funny Dave has been playing this record for a few years now (along with mick&later butch) and getting a good response so to me this is all abit like delayed shock!!! but one thing i can tell you all is that it is a real record on a real label and not an acetate and yes Greg one thing we agree on, the flip side is brilliant...........Louise XX

Your first post was being ironic :-O Damm! Got that wrong and have to call Dave fast!!!!! I agree with Dave and Taffy Lousie - your flip side is brilliant (or have I misread things again ????)

The record is great but having just checked out Manships Rarest Of The Rare section on his site I can tell you that there are other equally as good 7Ts movers waiting to be given an airing.
