No its to tracks, recorded in Detroit with his band there, costs are so prohibitive where live bands are concerned due to the number of members and flights required. Be great to do, but you need a venue that holds 6-700 at £20+ a ticket just to break even.

Anyone got £6-7 K to throw at it and I'll gladly sort it out for you

Just to add further info to the above, apart from the 3 gigs, Melvin might just be turning up at some local soul events as well, to help publicise the events and sell CDs 45s and sign pictures Keep an eye open for him--he's 6ft 6" !

With recent forum threads on "Who's the best live act you ever saw" I reckon my answer would have been Melvin at Cleethorpes which topped his brilliant earlier show at Prestatyn.

So Bournemouth here we come !

Looking forward to catching up with Bearsy and Marie for a replay of the "I need my Baby" Cleethorpes caravan anthem. The tale of Barney the Bear and his noise police hunting all over Thorpe Park for the early morning choral culprits is one for the memoirs.

Really looking forward to Melvin Davis coming down to Bournemouth on Thursday 14th March in the fabulous Ambassador Suite at The Carrington House Hotel, it's not often we get to see a Detriot Soul Artist of this calibre on the South Coast....a must event for the South's Soulies !!!
