Really happy that you guys back home will get to see John, a ton of Dig Deeper regulars told us en masse last month that he was simply one of the best singers we've ever been proud to put on stage, certainly blew both Honky and myself away from start to finish, not just the Lyndell 45 but several songs amazingly he'd never sung live before, and can promise when it gets to "I'll be loving you" there won't be a dry eye in the house, look forward to reading the posts after the shows

John really deserves this attention because The Soul Brothers Six deserved a lot more success at the time and he never really got the right breaks as a solo artist.

It's nice that he's been so successful as the writer of 'Some Kind Of Wonderful'.

Two of my favourite Soul Brothers Six tracks are the ballads 'I Can't Live Without You' and 'What Can You Do When You Ain't Got Nobody'.

John wrote his autobiography last year, Some Kind Of Wonderful: The John Ellison Story.

It's an ebook available on kindle from Amazon for £6.52

Although I haven't finished reading it yet it's recommended.

Hello Dave,

I think it's only available as an ebook, a sign of the times I suppose.

If it was a physical book it would be a nice thing to ask John to autograph.

Glad to hear that it's also available on paperback, I buy kindle books because I'm impatient but I prefer printed copies of some books.

Hi Paul,

There are pics of John at a booksigning last year with paperback copies. Has anyone a contact email for John they can post so we can see if he sells them direct?

Regards,

Dave

Ah, right. It names Blackburm as a venue, but I'm looking for the West Midlands date, which I haven't found anywhere yet.

following on from Jocko's question - will he have a band backing him?  I see the Blackburn ticket arrangements have been announced but no mention of a band - the tickets prices seem very reasonable for a a live act.
