Ila Vann - Special Guest At Wigans 40Th Anniversary in Blackpool

BLIIIMEYYYY!!! 10 years ago.....already!!!x Wonderful stuff!x I haven't mentioned this really as it wasn't my 'choice' to do but I was asked to do it! I was asked to make a video capturing the Wigan 30th Anniversary at Kings Hall! Kev and Richard asked me to do it based on my independent 'Togetherness' video which had been made earlier in the year....and due to be released on DVD soon...10 years later!!x

It was a geat night...for the people...but for me...not really!x I had returned into the Country from a 15 hour flight...the morning of the night! Rushed up there against my real feelings...a fluey cold came over me...and I was talking thru me nostrils/handerchief for the evening feeling a bag of poo!!! It turned out I had some tropical disease of some kind a few days later!!! But...these things only come round every 10 years init!!!x It featured Lorriane Silver and Edwin Starrs saxophonist James paying a tribute to Edwin who had passed away just before the night. Tommy Hunt did his thing...which was super...and we got good interviews/footage of the night including the dance competition and all! I haven't seen the film for probably 9 years myself...but i'll get it out and have a look to see what is worth sharing with you all in here! I'll pull the relevant stuff off and utube it ok!x Not many have seen it to be honest! I think Kev had about 500/600 copies and as i wasn't happy with it as it wasn't of the quality and dedication I usually gave my productions then I didn't bother to get it out there my end! All copies that were made were sold....but 500 videos out there soon get forgotten...indeed are possibly a rareity/collectable now as we all know!x

A super night as said for all...except me...and hopefully I can make amends and attend this one....without anyfing up me nose...and be happy with that!!!x Certainly a good night for all to congregate and celebrate methinks!x

Perhaps if those organising this night would like similar...with a more measured approach and without a pre-flight and tropical disease in tow...then i'd be delighted to offer me services at a reduced rate and special deal to capture that moment...as many of us may not make the 50th anniversary under our own steam...!!!!x You may have a vid already sorted and ready for it....if so....nice 1!x
