Grumpy - April event at Runcorn now Cancelled

Following a phone call this afternoon from the owner, we have been informed that there is an issue with the club's license which will take four weeks to resolve.What that means is that we have had to cancel the Grumpy session on Saturday 4th April.

Anyone who has been a promoter will feel for you mate. Sorry to hear this has happened. 

I don't get out as much thesedays, but always look forward to Grumpys.  I'm really sad now.  Top venue and crowd, hopefully I'll be at the next one.

Hey, it may be a blessing in disguise, and benefit the Anniversary - I know I shall be making an extra effort to get to that, and hopefully other folk will too.

I had to cancel Octobers 'Lennys' due to being moved to make room for a wedding, but that made me think 'b*llox to it' (that along with so many other events happening)

Glad it hasn't put you off - Keep going guys, Grumpy is one of very few venues that I plan on attending (even with Carl F being involved!)

The management at  Grumpys  are incompetent  they do this on a pretty regular basis  i know this from experience , no problems with license  more than likely double booked (the tossers)

I can't comment on the Grumpy management (no pun intended there btw!) The staff seemed nice at least. But over the years I have worked with many different venues, and have experienced the added stress of not having the management 100% behind what I was doing. In actual fact, quite the opposite (and this is the incompetence aside) There's me bringing business to their venue! It's unbelievable really, and most annoying.

It does make you really appreciate it when the people you are dealing with are supportive though.

Anyway, hope all sorted ok for the anniversary.

There's only me happy that it's cancelled then. I'm working all over Easter weekend so couldn't go. Before the hate mail starts I was only joking.

Well that's a downer. Was looking forward to our first trip down and we have two pre-paid hotel rooms. Can't make July 11th as we are doing Berlin weekender. Have you got any future dates and I will try and get the hotel to move the booking.
