The Blenders - Tales Of Sadness b/w Eddie Silvers & The Constellations - Funky Fun In The Ghetto - DJO VG+, labels are slightly faded on both sides £35.00 plus £4.00 signed for UK postage First side, is a class Chicago uptempo group dancer that was once a very rare until a few years ago, when some turned up Flip it over and you get a full on funky upbeat funk fest! Apparently this side gets played on the northern scene! Videos of record (both sides upon request) ********************************************** The Precisions - What Would You Do b/w The Love (I Found In You) - Wild EX+ (would be some's Mint-) £50.00 plus £4.00 signed for UK postage First side, is a awesome uptempo dancer of the highest order in my opinion. Has sold for £100.00 a couple of years ago. I got this copy cheap so thought it fair to sell cheap. Has been played on the scene by the likes of Roger Banks and the like in the late 80s. Flip is more Boston MA group soul on the tiny Wild label, that has only a handful of issued records Videos of the record on request. *********************************************** NEXT DAY INSURED UK POSTAGE £6.00 EUROPE/USA ETC. POSTAGE PLEASE ASK. *********************************************** PAYMENT BY PAYPAL OR BANK DRAFT. larry williams - strange great record that has disappeared for sale online and sits in collections as its a fantastic moody soul / rnb record lydia marcell just another kind of fella is an amazing new orleans soul 45 I always guessed that this release was why Gerri Hall didn't get released on Sue as they are both Walter Quezergue latest releases (check nola release lists) and Im guessing Guy just had to picke one. there is only one or two nola usa release 45s known to exist of this rare record - I have heard a well known DJ in Stoke has a copy. And the Sue uk release has disappeared And both of these records have had little Northern Soul exposure regarding plays by DJs So my opinion is these two are woth keeping once you snag them

Holy Grail- 45- "angel Baby" - Garland Green - Mca -Australian Issue
Mal C replied to a topic in Look At Your Box
I’ve never thought about where all the classic Garland Green UNI tracks might have been played. that's really interesting, by the time I heard them they were compilation tracks, and not really rare enough to be played out… I’ve missed out there.. that happens doesn’t it, second, third, forth time around, new to some, old hat to many…. -

Wasn't that Arthur Fenn that was playing Brand New Faces? I always associate JB with Sam.
-
I have had that Tri-Ems for a decade or so too, was a massive disappointment when it arrived vs the vocal version but given the other instros on the label should have expected that really

I thought Frederick Hymes was played in progressive northern clubs in a similar way things like James bell were never really considered it a modern record. -

It's always struck me to be a similar thing to Charles Diamond. The fella records it first in the 60's as Tonny Hymes and it does nothing , but having faith in his song he re-records a newer version a bit later in 1971 as Frederick. -

The tonny hymes is a 60s type slow track , I meant the Frederick.hymes was played more in the modern sets when it appeared rather than in the oldies dj sets -

What do you call 'modern' ? The Frederick Hymes release was mentioned in Billboard magazine in March '71 , from a 2016 thread on here. -
